A Deep Commitment to Individualized Care

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of helping people navigate their health and healing through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I am a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, certified meditation teacher and mindful retreat facilitator. I truly love what I do.

I earned my degree from Bastyr University, a nationally recognized leader in science-informed natural medicine. Since graduating, I have continued to study and deepen my understanding of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, herbs and the many ways these practices can support the body and mind.

Over the years, I have learned that effective care is about much more than treating a list of symptoms. You are a whole person and your health is influenced by your experiences, stress, emotions, lifestyle and the demands of everyday life. That's why I take the time to listen. I want to understand what you are experiencing, what you have been through and what matters most to you.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected and comfortable being yourself. I believe healing is a process and I see my role as working alongside you, offering thoughtful care and practical tools to help support you along the way.

I also believe deeply in the importance of slowing down and reconnecting with ourselves. As a certified meditation teacher and retreat facilitator, mindfulness has become an important part of both my personal life and the way I approach caring for others.

I grew up in New Mexico and still return every year to spend time with family and enjoy the desert landscape and warmth. I later moved to the Pacific Northwest for my undergraduate education and it has become another place that feels very much like home. Nature, mindfulness, connection and community continue to shape who I am both inside and outside the clinic.

After more than two decades in practice, I remain genuinely curious and passionate about this medicine. There is always more to learn and every person I work with teaches me something new.

Whether working with acute injury recovery, chronic pelvic and menstrual pain, preconception fertility support or cancer treatment side-effect relief, I approach each individual with reverence, patience and clinical expertise.

Our Guiding Practice Principles

What you can always expect when you enter Origin of Healing:

1

Generous, Unhurried Time

We do not practice high-volume revolving-door medicine. Your appointments are dedicated 1-on-1 sessions where you are heard and given the time your body deserves to unwind.

2

Root-Cause TCM Assessment

Rather than merely masking pain, we evaluate the underlying patterns—examining pulses, tongue characteristics, and meridian tension to treat both root and manifestation.

3

Integrative & Collaborative

We work in harmony with your primary care physicians, midwives, oncologists, and physical therapists, ensuring safe, complementary care that enhances your overall medical protocol.

4

In-Network Accessibility

We believe premium healthcare should be accessible. We accept major insurance plans and directly verify your benefits so you can focus entirely on healing.

What Patients Say About Care with Amy

"Amy has a calming, grounded presence that instantly puts you at ease. She listened to years of back pain and fatigue that other providers rushed through, and within a few sessions of gentle acupuncture and heat therapy, I experienced relief I hadn't felt in a decade."
