2. Medical & Healthcare Disclaimer
Not a Substitute for Emergency Medical Care: If you are experiencing a medical emergency, acute chest pain, severe shortness of breath, sudden neurological deficits, severe hemorrhaging, or thoughts of self-harm, please dial 911 immediately or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.
Educational Purpose: Content presented on this website is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to substitute for individualized medical diagnosis, clinical advice, or treatment by a licensed physician or specialist.
No Guaranteed Outcomes: While acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine offer time-tested, evidence-informed symptom relief and restorative support, clinical results vary by individual constitution, compliance, and severity of condition. We do not claim to cure progressive neuromuscular conditions, cancer, or eliminate medical diseases.
3. Appointment & Cancellation Policy
We reserve dedicated clinical time and treatment rooms exclusively for your scheduled visit. To ensure fair access for all patients seeking care:
- 24-Hour Notice: We require at least 24 hours of advance notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling requests.
- Late Cancellations & Missed Visits: Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or missed without notice may be subject to a clinic cancellation fee. Note that insurance carriers do not cover missed appointment fees.
- Timely Arrival: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for your scheduled session so your intake and treatment time can be maximized without delay.
4. Insurance Verification & Financial Responsibility
As a courtesy, our clinic verifies your acupuncture insurance coverage with in-network carriers including Regence, Premera Blue Cross, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Auto PIP (motor vehicle accidents):
- Courtesy Verification: Benefit quotes provided by insurance companies are estimates only and do not constitute a formal guarantee of payment from your carrier.
- Patient Responsibility: Patients remain ultimately responsible for all balances, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance percentages, or non-covered services determined by their insurance contract.
- Self-Pay & Payment Options: Clear self-pay fee schedules and prompt-pay arrangements are available upon request for non-insured or out-of-network patients.
5. Clinical Informed Consent
Prior to your initial treatment, you will review and sign a written Informed Consent document detailing the modalities used in your care (single-use sterile acupuncture needles, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, herbal formulas, Tui Na, and craniosacral therapy). You have the right to ask questions or decline any modality at any point during your care.
